A high celestial realm
governed by the Great God Indra
There are many anthropomorphic images of the gods and goddesses of the various spiritual traditions of mankind; we can learn many facts and stories about their manifestation, both in the celestial planes, and on Earth (in the physical plane); however, few human beings are initiated into the mysteries of the realm (loka) in which the deities of the universe live. Some vague references to this celestial world come from the ancient Greeks and Romans who speak of Mount Olympus, but the Vedic Hindu tradition is the one that offers a much broader and even more detailed perspective on the "realm of the gods", or "the heavenly paradise." On the other hand, the Eastern initiatory esotericism, and even some Western esoteric organizations have also highlighted some occult aspects of this subtle reality, also called the "world of gods" or Svarga Loka.
All those who have already received during Costinesti camp the initiation in the spiritual communion with Indra, the Divine Leader of the spiritual realm of the divine beings, can continue this initiation with a second one, aiming to bring us in unison with the whole world (Loka, in Sanskrit), or subtle realm that Indra governs. The concept of Svarga Loka could be assimilated in the Christian terminology with the idea of Heaven or Paradise in its highest hypostases, that is that subtle area of the Macrocosm in which the spirits enjoy the fruits of their good actions accomplished during incarnations in the physical plane.
Human beings who have reached a high degree of spiritual achievement, after the death of the body, are attracted through resonance, due to the merits accumulated, in this celestial plane (Svarga) of refined pleasures, exuberance, sensitivity, happiness, and love. For the aspirants who receive initiation in this second mantra, the mantra of communion with Svarga Loka, it becomes possible to experience and enjoy this wonderful heavenly paradise even during their human existence, by doing what in esotericism is called astral projection. With the help of this secret mantra, the aspirant's movement into Svarga Loka can easily occur through astral projection or during conscious sleeping states.
For a human being who is initiated into esoteric aspects and who nourishes the aspiration to evolve rapidly, understanding the nature and the manifestation of the world of the gods is very important, as this is an essential stage on the way to final deliverance (moksha). Our resonance with this highly elevated celestial realm gives us the certainty of our inner purity (both bodily and psycho-mentally), that translates primarily through the predominance of sattva guna (the luminous and pure quality) in the microcosm of our being. On the other hand, experimenting with this astral paradise is at the same time an important spiritual test that involves the utmost discernment and our aspiration to move forward to achieve full communion with God the Father, ultimate spiritual perfection or moksha. We must transcend, knowingly, the temptation to remain in this world to experience endlessly the extraordinarily refined, pure and sublime delights of this celestial paradise. Even Svarga Loka must, in the end, be left behind, but not before knowing it and experimenting it in a lucid and detached way.
The tradition of Hindu spirituality states that the realm of divine beings (Svarga) is the celestial abode of the great god Indra. Svarga Loka surrounds the highest peak of the sacred mountain(Meru, but it can move anywhere, at the command of its sovereign master, the god of lightning and thunder. Besides Indra, in Svarga Loka there are also other important gods that are mentioned in the Vedas: Varuna (the god of waters and oceans), Agni (the god of fire), Kubera (the god of riches and treasures), Yama or Dharma (the god of justice and death), Surya (the god of the Sun), Chandra (the god of the Moon), and Kama (the god of desire and amorous love). Even though the Hindu trinity of the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva is superior to this plane, all the other millions of gods that exist manifest in this plane (Svarga), often also called the "gods paradise".
The divine beings living in this area of the Macrocosm are almost continuously pervaded by a beatific inner state, completely devoid of the worries and limitations of the beings from the lower planes of Creation. Svarga represents the celestial realm of divine greatness and splendor, where the divine beings live eons of time, contributing to the evolution of the whole Creation. Indra and his beautiful feminine counterpart, goddess Indrani, reign over this paradise. No annoyance, suffering, or fear is allowed in their palace / realm. The Apsaras (goddesses of dance and art of seduction) and the Gandharvas (celestial musicians) dance and entertain those who are in the sublime paradise Svarga Loka. Sometimes games and sports competitions also take place here. But, without exception, all those who have access in one way or another to this realm are experiencing overwhelming states of happiness and bliss.
